Zoya Feifei

This has been the only polish I picked up from new Zoya NYFW 2012 Diva collecion, but I am so happy I did!
The simply stunning foil packs a soft blue, gold, and in some lights, even purple. It was completely opaque in two very easy coats, and required ZERO clean up. So very easy to work with- love it!
Now, to put the cherry on top, this polish wore for a solid week with no chipping at all- I only changed it because of minor tip wear and growth by the cuticle.
I beg you, if you have not picked this up yet, please do- you will certainly not regret it. :)

Zoya Myrta

Zoya Mytra from the Summer 2012 Surf collection

I am a big fan of foil finishes- I love how they add some sparkle to your manicure, but remove quite easily when you're done wearing them. The Surf collection is made up of six different foil polishes, and today I bring you Mytra. It is described on their website as a "Warm medium orange coral with red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer." In person, it mostly reads as a orange with a hint of coral.
This was such a wonderful to use! I only used two coats to real complete opacity, but if I would have gone a bit thicker, it may only required one. It was so easy to control too- my pictures have no clean up, and I think it's a pretty neat paint job. The only down side, which is no fault of Zoya's, is that it was not a flattering color on me at all.
I am looking forward to trying other colors from this line, but this one just wasn't for me.

Zoya Maisie

Zoya Maisie from the Spring 2012 Fleck Effect collection
Layered over Zoya Zuza

This Spring Zoya released the 2012 Fleck Effect collection. I must make a quick note because Zoya initially called this collection 'Holographic Nail Polish Glazes'. I have yet to figure out what they were thinking when they dubbed this 'Holographic' since the Fleck Effect collection features no holo polishes, linear or scattered. That said, I still bought all three polishes in the collection.
The Fleck Effect collection features various flakie polishes in tinted bases. Maisie has a blue jelly base, though I consider it to be sheer enough where you could use it over green or purple polish with little impact on the base color. The flakies are quite dense, as the picture you see reflects a single coat.

Please keep in mind, this is a layering polish and should be worn over a base coat.

Zoya Zuza

Zoya Zuza from the Summer 2012 Beach & Surf collection

Zoya Zuza is a sea blue foil from the Summer 2012 Beach & Surf collection. I have to give them credit-this color honest made me think of beach water on a perfect summer day. This blue has a hint of green, and I do enjoy foil finishes quite a bit.
This picture is of two easy coats of Zuza. I wish this was a one coat wonder like the Color Club Foiled collection, but since I found no dupey colors in my stash, I do consider this to be a very minor complaint.

Kudos to Zoya for doing a terrific job of capturing the beach!

Zoya Skylar

Zoya Skylar from the 2012 True Collection

Today am I very excited to review a Zoya polish for you! Since we have not done a Zoya before, let's do the quick run down...
Zoya polishes can be purchased from Zoya.com, from many online retailers such as Aveyou.com , Bloom.com, and ImageBeauty.com, and shockingly enough, even at many Whole Foods grocery stores! Their Italian glass bottles are certainly pretty , and are relatively stable. They hold .5 oz, like China Glaze or OPI. The handle on their brushes is a little shorter normal, but I actually found it easier to use than many, as I was able to use my pointer finger to help stable the end of the brush when painting my right hand. The brush itself is nicely trimmed, not exceptionally wide or thin.
Skylar is a dusty, denim blue with quite a bit of beautiful silver shimmer. The first coat was a bit scary- kind of streaky and uneven. To the credit of the polish, it was very easy to manipulate, no flooding or goopy messes. Much to my pleasant surprise, the second coat of polish fixed everything! With just two coats it was opaque, drying quickly, and totally worth the minimal effort I had to put out.
Just an FYI, I have read in several places that this is a near dupe to OPI I Have A Herring Problem from the Dutch collection. In this case, I hear the Zoya has a better formula, so I would gladly recommend Skylar!
